Time for Forgiveness

This is the card I pulled this morning. It took me by surprise. Just as I was about to begin a Forgiveness process that I have found valuable, I received a phone call from a new friend. This is the second day in a row she’s called and provided me with valuable guidance, though her call was initiated simply to clarify plans we’re making to get together. When I shared with her about my process with forgiveness she informed me that in the Jewish tradition Fall is when they focus on forgiveness – as a community. So, she thought my own timing with this was perfect as the Autumnal Equinox is tomorrow. What was great about her call coming just then was that it expanded my intent so that it’s not just me doing the forgiving as I was about to do but also about me asking for forgiveness from my community of friends, family and acquaintances for my failings. So, I ask you for your forgiveness of my blunders, limitations and transgressions. If you can and do, I truly thank you. I am grateful for our relationship. I understand that forgiving is about freeing previously tied-up energy and clearing the path of debris and detritus that inhibits freedom of motion and seeing clearly. This does seem like a worthy tradition and one that I am going to adopt from now on as an intent linked to the Autumnal Equinox.
