Today, before heading to TreeHouse Books on the Ashland Plaza for a three hour gig, I pulled the Superpower card, which gave me a wave of encouragement. I know I can trust myself and the deck itself. When I offer the deck to the public by doing these kinds of events magic occurs. It feels like the deck does all the work, which is essentially what the Superpower card is highlighting – that thing you do that feels so natural you tend to dismiss it’s value.

I spoke with quite a few teens (all young women) who were thrilled to have things spoken aloud that felt true for them personally. I spoke with a woman going through a particularly fraught period of adjustment who left feeling validated. Then, the last person to come by, clearly needed a more extensive reading, so we took the time to do that. While we penetrated her challenging situation further with another layer of cards, her husband secretly bought her a deck, so she can continue to glean value.

It was a magical day for me watching the light in people’s eyes as the cards revealed truths they could identify with personally. Two decks sold while I was in the store!
