Experience

2020 Contracted with Black Rose Writing to publish New Moons, scheduled to launch on Amazon and elsewhere in May 2021. Currently working on Book Two of the series.

2019 Self-published The Seed Songs: Book One – New Moons, a novel. Book tour through various spots in Oregon and the Puget Sound.

2014 The Traveler Oracle Deck was published.

9/2013 –3/2014 Volunteer teaching 3-8th grade students in various schools in Rajasthan, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu (three states of India). Worked with STEP-Volunteers, GVI, and independently.

2011-2013- Studio Artist, ashlandartcenter.org
2009-2011 Ashland Art Center, Founding Board Member. Helped launch ambitious non-profit arts organization during an economic downturn.

2008 Various volunteer projects, one involving video production for Mediation Works, a non-profit organization devoted to mediation services and conflict resolution training.

2005-2007 Worked closely with architect and contractor on an extensive remodel of our home. Provided original design for railings. Developed custom color for concrete and plaster work.

2001-2003 Provided adult supervision and art experiences for teens at Orion Center – a non-profit organization serving street-kids in downtown Seattle. Organized informal art opportunities and instruction, mentored youth.

2000-2002 Served on BOD of Waterfront Landings Homeowner’s Association, Seattle, WA. Joined during a crisis of confidence between BOD and homeowners. Succeeded in easing tensions, improving communications and developing more openness and trust. Created a new committee, hired a sub-contractor that continues to provide excellent service.

1986-1999 High Tide Inc, dba Seattle Massage School/Ashmead College – Co-Owner and V.P. The company became a national leader in professional massage education and accreditation standards. Two-time winner of the Seattle Mayor’s Small Business Award (‘90 & ’92). My various roles included: Admissions, Graduate Placement Services and Campus Director.

1983 – 1986 Public Relations Director, Seattle King County Council of Camp Fire – a national non-profit youth organization.
