EXPERIENCE
2017 Completed Book One: New Moons of the Song Seeds series, a science fiction story set onboard a starship culture where supercharged Earth artifacts bestowed by indigenous people from Earth centuries ago are now awakening new potentials in the human race.

2014 Published The Traveler Oracle Deck, an original deck of 77 beautifully compelling cards with a companion booklet of clear, lyrical writing explaining the meaning of each card. Together they comprise an igniting force for change.

9/2013 –3/2014 Volunteer teacher 3-8th grade students in various schools in Rajasthan, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu (three states of India). Worked with STEP-Volunteers, GVI, and independently.

2009-2011 Ashland Art Center, Founding Board Member,-helped to launch an ambitious non-profit arts organization during an economic downturn

2008 Directed a 20-minute video in conjunction with a professional video studio for Mediation Works, a non-profit organization devoted to mediation services and conflict resolution training. (I also took their trainings in 2010).

2001-2003 Provided adult supervision and art experiences for teens, Orion Center – a non-profit organization serving street-kids in downtown Seattle. Organized informal art opportunities and instruction, mentored youth.

2000-2002 Served on BOD of Waterfront Landings Homeowner’s Association, Seattle, WA. Joined during a crisis of confidence between BOD and homeowners. Succeeded in easing tensions, improving communications and developing more openness and trust. Created a new committee, hired a sub-contractor that continues to provide excellent service.

1986-1999 High Tide Inc, dba Seattle Massage School/Ashmead College – Co-Owner and V.P. The company became a national leader in professional massage education and accreditation standards. Two-time winner of the Seattle Mayor’s Small Business Award (‘90 & ’92). My various roles included: Admissions, Graduate Placement Services and Campus Director.

1983 – 1986 Public Relations Director, Seattle King County Council of Camp Fire – a national non-profit youth organization. Trained and supervised volunteers; wrote and designed publications; helped organize promotional and regional events with volunteers.

Have organized several completely unique events/happenings for 20-50 people: True Self Party, The Traveler Deck Event 2006; The Fairy Godmother Fashion Show (a fund-raiser)- 2008

Sailed 4200 miles along entire Eastern Caribbean Archipelago aboard 42’ sailing yacht – 1995-1999. During that voyage, volunteered for 3 months for Peter Menchel’s Carnival Camp helping to build costumes in Trinidad (he subsequently designed costumes for the opening ceremony for the World Wide Olympic Games). I also visited a small school in the interior of Dominica, providing some school supplies and speaking to the 4th grade class a few times.
